RANCHO SAN RAFAEL LOCATION

Rancho San Rafael is located along the Camino San Rafael. You can see the development on the east side of the 2 freeway as you hit Mountain Ave. exit.

WHAT PEOPLE LOVE

Ranch San Rafael is a rare planned community in Glendale. It was built in the mid-1980s as a collaboration among several developers working off of a master plan of single-family, paired homes and townhomes built in a Mediterranean style.

People love the consistent look and feel of the homes. They also love access to the community center featuring tennis courts, pool, spa and wading pool, and a really lovely recreation room.

What People Don’t Love

A planned community comes with rules, regulations, and a monthly HOA fee.

SCHOOLS

Verdugo Woodlands Elementary School is one of those special places your children will remember forever. It is relatively small and has a wonderful mix of cultures, social-economic classes, and personalities. They are also a dual language immersion program for Japanese. Their parents are so dedicated and involved they put on the Father’s Follies every year as a huge fundraiser. Think Middle-Aged Dads In Drag Singing Pop Tunes.

Woodrow Wilson is the middle school (A FLAG school for Armenian and Japanese language immersion) and Glendale High School was recently named US News and World Report, Silver Medal, America’s Best High Schools. BTW, if you EVER get the chance to attend Glendale HS Dance recital, go. Those kids are crazy talented and it’s better than an episode of So You Think You Can Dance.
