OAKMONT COUNTRY CLUB LOCATION
Oakmont is the area right around Oakmont Country Club and also the Oakmont 5 development in the hills above the country club. It is bordered by La Crescenta Ave. on the east, Country Club Dr. to the South, and end at the North where Country Club Dr. and La Crescenta Ave come together.
WHAT PEOPLE LOVE
The members of Oakmont Country Club are a tight-knit bunch who share a love of golf and camaraderie. They love living close enough to play and socialize, daily.
Non-Golfers also love the area! The lower streets enjoy gracious character homes with lots of oaks and nature all around. Oakmont 5 was developed on the hillsides and is filled with contemporary homes oriented on sweeping views of Crescenta Valley.
What People Don’t Love
This isn’t a criticism so much as a personal choice – the homes in Oakmont 5 tend to be split-level homes that prioritize view and size over a convenient floor plan.
SCHOOLS
Fremont Elementary is probably the smallest, most intimate elementary school in Glendale. Everyone knows each other and the bond between teachers, parents and students feels like the bonds of a tight village.
Rosemont Middle School and Crescenta Valley High School are the highest rated academic schools in Glendale, but don’t let that fool you. The students and opportunities are quite diverse!
Clark Magnet High School is a magnet school for science and technology.
