Welcome to Adams Hill

Adams Hill is currently one of the most popular neighborhoods in Glendale. Los Angeles buyers are flocking to this cool hilly enclave of character homes located just over the border of Northeast Los Angeles because the homes are more affordable. Once they get here they realize City of Glendale is a great place to live.

Adams Hill is a specific neighborhood located below E. Chevy Chase Dr on either side of S. Adams Street. It is primarily sloped and hilly but there are a few streets near Adams Square Park that are relatively flat.

Anything south of the 134 Freeway but not in the Downtown Glendale area is considered South Glendale.

South Glendale is a Glendale CA neighborhood with all the diversity and texture that you would expect from an urban environment. Everyone from socially minded hipsters to Ma and Pa Kent coexists in an interesting melting pot. There are few pretentious coffee house chains. Instead, there are fascinating ethnic hole-in-the-wall eateries, cafes and bakeries. What sort of ethnicity? You name it, we’ve got it.

Adams Hill is a special neighborhood that feels more like the urban Los Angeles areas just over the border. It has hilly terrain offering privacy, personality and some homes have wonderful city views.

Famous sights and landmarks include Forest Lawn Memorial Park, where more major Hollywood stars are buried than any other spot in the world, and the lovely Spanish Colonial Revival Train Station and the adorable Adams Square Park with a vintage gas station reimagine and a public art space.

Gal Pal Tracy and I took a Saturday to wander around this amazing neighborhood.
