The Town and Country Club Area in Altadena is also called Country Club Estates, The Estates or Midlothian, after one of the most iconic and gracious streets in the neighborhood. This neighborhood lies to the east of the Altadena Town and Country Club, a private equity club featuring gold, tennis and swimming. (They also have an adult Dodgeball Team, this is not your average stuffed shirt club). The borders are E. Altadena Dr. to the north, Midlothian Dr. on the east, and New York Dr. on the south.

Westsiders and Urban LA people are migrating to the Country Club area in droves. They love the large flat lots, the super cool Mid Century and Ranch style homes and the peaceful rural feeling completely impossible to achieve in their neighborhoods.

The sunset lights up the San Gabriel mountains with sherbet colors and the parrots swoop by to share all their latest gossip. It is a paradise.

What People Don’t Love

Man- this neighborhood is far away from everything. The 210 is not a friendly freeway for commuters and then there is an additional 15 – 20 min drive from the freeway exit. The good news: interesting and creative businesses and eateries are starting to pop-up. We found a delightful Chef’s Dinner in the back of a Gelato shop and a truly interesting farm to table restaurant. And, there is a Bunny Museum.

38 homes sold in 2019 in the Town and Country Club neighborhood. The lowest priced sale was $825,000 for a 3 bedroom, 2 bath home with 1700 SF on a 9200 sf lot. The most expensive sale in 2019 was $3,100,000 for a 6 bedroom and 6 bath home with 5291 sf on a 30,000 sf lot.
