THE PRESIDENT STREETS LOCATION
The President Streets are located on the Northeast side of Altadena, close to Eaton Canyon Park. Its borders are Altadena Dr. to the north and east, New York Dr. to the south, and Pepper Ave on the west.
WHAT PEOPLE LOVE
The President Streets is filled with pleasingly consistent one-level ranch-style homes. We don’t know who had a thing for U.S. Presidents, but it is a handy way to describe the neighborhood.
This neighborhood feels like a movie set for small-town America. Manicured lawns, people strolling along at dusk, homes decorated for the various holidays.
Eaton Canyon is a super popular hiking trail and the Rose Parade Floats are displayed in nearby Victory Park.
What People Don’t Love
This is a suburban neighborhood and there isn’t a lot of urban life going on. The good news: interesting and creative businesses and eateries are starting to pop-up. We found a delightful Chef’s Dinner in the back of a Gelato shop and a truly interesting farm-to-table restaurant. And, there is a Bunny Museum.
SCHOOLS
Altadena belongs to the Pasadena Unified School District. The schools of residence are:
Webster Elementary (A California Distinguished School)
Eliot Middle School (Arts Magnet)
Pasadena High School
In addition, parents can choose Open Enrollment for schools outside their School of Resident.
