La Crescenta Homes For Sale

People search La Crescenta for homes to buy because they crave a mountain community just minutes from Urban Los Angeles

La Crescenta’s Location

La Crescenta is located within the zip code 91214 and bills itself as “The Balcony of Southern California”. If you are on the 210 freeway traveling west, the neighborhood begins at the La Crescenta Ave. and ends at Lowell Ave. and is nestled at the base of the Angeles National Forest. The neighborhood still feels like a sleepy mountain community, even though it long ago matured into a suburb for neighboring Glendale.

There is an interesting location anomaly – the western half of 91214 is legally a Glendale Ca neighborhood and is officially called Crescenta Highlands. The dividing line between the County Unincorporated part of La Crescenta and the part that is the City of Glendale is Pennsylvania.

Perhaps this focus on family and schools creates the small-town feel. Families and businesses are often several generations deep and the Crescenta Valley Town Council is active and influential.
