If schools are a big factor in your home buying criteria, La Crescenta is probably high on your list of neighborhoods. You’ve probably heard that these schools rank high on many parent’s list. You figure the schools must be great (they are!) and the community must be education oriented (it is!)
But if you tried to find information on “La Crescenta School District” you kept getting information on Glendale schools and that is confusing.
Where are La Crescenta Schools?
The La Crescenta School District doesn’t exist as a separate entity. The schools in La Crescenta and North Glendale Annex are part of the Glendale Unified School District. Schools located in the zip code 91214 are thought of as La Crescenta Schools.
In 1931, the Crescenta district became part of Glendale Unified, which explains why the latter’s current boundary includes portions of the Crescenta Valley outside the political boundary of Glendale.
