Watch the Sparks Fly!

Every Fourth of July, people crowd together to watch the sky explode. Instead of waiting in line and dealing with the crowds, here are some of our favorite local secret spots to check out fireworks.

CORONADO STREET BRIDGE, PASADENA
For 91 years and running, the Rose Bowl has hosted AmericaFest. For those who are into checking out the sights and sounds from the stadium $15- $30 is a pretty good price. For those who aren’t, check out the bridge.

ANGELES CREST HIGHWAY
From the first two turnouts, you can view fireworks from The Crescenta Valley, The Rose Bowl in Pasadena, and Downtown LA.

THE CASTAWAY, BURBANK
Get a table and enjoy the show from inside. This view overlooks the Starlight Bowl who are featuring the retro pop group The Company of Men along with their fireworks show.

CRESCENTA VALLEY HIGH SCHOOL, LA CRESCENTA
OK, we admit, this isn’t much of a secret anymore but it’s still one of our favorites. Gates open at 4pm this year and it usually sells out by 8:30pm. Secret tip: If you show up late and get locked out, check out the Ralph’s Parking lot on Foothill Blvd.
